Setting: Berlin in Germany and Auschwitz in Poland.

Theme and style: They give us a lot of clues when sad things have happened. They don’t tell us some of the things that have happened.

Events and Actions                                                                    Bruno’s dad had to move to Auschwitz because that is where his job is. Bruno meets Shmuel. Bruno and Shmuel become best friends and he forgets his other best friends. Bruno gets a bald hair. Shmuel and Bruno were killed by Bruno’s dad. Bruno’s dad figures it out that he killed his own son without recognising him. Bruno’s dad is shot and he knows he deserves it because he killed his own son.
